30 years (that is 100 + in dog years...) in the service (hospitality/tourism)
industry. Prior to the opening of Reed Roberts Marketing Bob spent some 20
years in various sales, marketing and general management positions within the
hotel and airline industry, including Sheraton, American Airlines/Americana
Hotels, Crowne Plaza and Marriott.
addition, Bob worked in the Convention & Visitor Bureau (DMO) world as CEO
of CVB's in California and Illinois, as well as Director of Marketing for Team
San Jose. In all three of these bureaus Bob was instrumental in the design and
implementation of innovative branding, best practice, creative multi-channel
marketing programs and award-winning results (i.e. first-ever Pinnacle Award).
Roberts Marketing is not the new kid in school either. This company actually
had its origin back in 1984 in Atlanta, when Bob started the organization as a
full-service, boutique marketing communications company exclusively for the
hospitality industry. With multi-million dollar billings Bob sold the clients
to his employees to continue on another path in his marketing career.
