Founded in 1960, the American Police Hall of Fame and Museum is the nation’s first national police museum and memorial that is dedicated to law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.  The Museum educates the public about the history of American law enforcement through a variety of interactive displays, simulators and thousands of artifacts.  The Memorial has the names of over 8,000 law enforcement officers etched into its marble walls.  More names are added every year on Police Memorial Day (May 18).

Located just minutes’ drive from our Titusville, Florida hotel, the American Police Hall of Fame is the premier location to learn about all things law enforcement.  The American Police Hall of Fame is located directly across the street from the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame and less than a mile from the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum.  The Police Hall of Fame features many fascinating exhibits including police-themed props from movies, vehicles used by law enforcement throughout the years, forensic science stations and explanations of forensic techniques like fingerprinting, footprint analysis, and profile sketch construction.

Founded in 1960 and dedicated to law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty, the American Police Hall of Fame is an interactive experience for the whole family.  The museum provides special photo stations where visitors can pose with police themed props.  Some of these photo stations include a K-9 exhibit, a kids’ dress-up opportunity, a badge factory where children can create their own personal souvenirs, a crime lab, a wild west exhibit, the electric chair, police vehicles, and a 9/11 memorial.

In addition to cutting edge law enforcement technology, the museum also displays older forms of technology including a recreation of medieval stocks, the guillotine, a gas chamber reconstruction, an old fashioned jail cell, swords, and also an electric chair.

An indoor public gun range & shooting center is available in a museum annex and includes services such as free personal instruction, a concealed weapons course, a young shooter safety class, gun safety classes and shooting leagues.
