1. BS in Engineering or Chemistry required. BS in Chemical Engineering strongly preferred. 2. Five (5) or
more years applicable experience required. Minimum of two years supervisory or team lead experience
required. 3. Demonstrated problem solving skills with Lean or Six Sigma experience preferred. 4. Strong
math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals are required. 5. Ability to
effectively troubleshoot and problem solve using a hands-on approach in both individual and group
situations required. 6. Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively
communicate with all levels of the organization, demonstrated group presentation skills, the ability to speak
positively and persuasively in positive or negative situations, and the ability to vary writing style based
upon the need.

Job Duties:
Develops and applies advanced chemistry methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation
and solution of complex technical problems. May plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or major
phases of significant projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of
assigned projects. Analyzes, evaluates, and plans methods of approach and organizes means to achieve
solution of complex technical problems. Conducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity.
Recommends corrections in technical applications and analysis. Specifies materials, equipment, and
supplies required for completion and implementation of technical projects. Evaluates vendor capabilities to
provide required products or services. May provide technical consultation to technical staff or other
organizations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Oversee daily lab functions to include supervision of
lab personnel, delegation of work/projects, and fill-in for lab technicians on an as needed basis. 2. Reduce
costs and improve the performance of plating manufacturing by implementing and improving best practices
and standards utilizing a team-based approach to elicit employee participation. 3. Actively monitor and
improve upon department RoHS and ISO requirements. 4. Provide engineering for plating manufacturing
optimization including improving efficiency, enhancing capabilities, and developing new plating processes
and tooling. 5. Provide chemical process support to the manufacturing team to improve cost options and
delivery. 6. Innovate new plating coating processes from concept through deployment and work closely
with individuals from within technology, development, product, and manufacturing as applicable.
