Job Description: Diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts gas & diesel vehicles are required and complete all paperwork on the troubled equipment assigned. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities: Performs preventative maintenance on vehicles, Maintains a minimum set of tools required for job performance, Cares and maintains company tools, equipment, and property. Maintains a high awareness of technical changes in the industry, Tests/diagnoses & adjusts failures of equipment, Repairs or replaces defective parts on vehicles, Disassembles components to insure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs. Creates repair estimates & submit information. Prepares all parts requisitions, time cards, or service reports as requested by supervisor. Assist the Company in any necessary duties to achieve Company goals. 


High School Diploma or Equivalent 

Combination of education and experience will be considered

CDL-A License Preferred

Clean driving record

Must have experience with gas & diesel trucks, service trucks, etc.

Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

Job Description: Coordinate, direct and manage all aspects of the company's fleet of equipment. This position functions as an upper level manager in these duties and is responsible for asset management. 

Main Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all vehicles and equipment in the company's fleet. Implements and monitors a preventative maintenance program to assure cost effective maintenance and a scheduled maintenance program to provide maintenance by manufacturers specifications. Implements and monitors a corrective repair program to assure cost effective equipment repair program o provide timely, cost effective and complete repair of equipment breakdowns. Implements and monitors an equipment cost system through recording of all expenditures and income of each vehicle, maintenance equipment, fuel, repair parts, supplies, etc. 

Monitors user needs by analysis of vehicle and equipment utilization and evaluation of equipment conditions. Implements and maintains a mechanic training and certification program to provide needed technical skills for mechanics in repair of automobiles and heavy equipment. Enforces safety practices and procedures and ensures employees receive appropriate safety training. Supervises all Fleet services employees; trains, evaluates, and discipline action if needed. 

Negotiate lease/rental terms for required non-owned equipment. Checks all repair work performed in shop for completeness which includes physical inspections and road tests before vehicle is turned back in to user department(s). Schedule transport for all equipment to meet project requirements. Keeps maintenance and repair records; oversees performance of preventative maintenance and correction repair maintenance on all owned and leased vehicles and equipment. Supervise ordering if repair parts. Administers all Fleet Service purchases, including new and used equipment, parts, tools, office supplies. Insures that all vehicles and equipment purchases are licensed, registered and permitted as required by State of Florida and USDOT laws to include all required reporting is timely submitted. Performs related duties as required.  



High School Diploma or Equivalent 

Course work in auto and equipment mechanics at a trade school

Six (6) Years minimum as a mechanic or equivalent combination of education and experience 

Clean driving record

Must have experience with gas & diesel trucks, service trucks, etc.

Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills 


Must be on 24 hour call.
