He is one of the Co-Founders of MINDWAYS Solutions. Dave's passion for caring for the needs of others spans a 22 year medical career. He has worked in a variety of roles in his career that have all been focused on helping people achieve a better quality of life. Through his practice as a clinician he has provided thousands of hours of supportive coaching to patients and families on how to achieve better health through disease and lifestyle management.
His initial exposure to working with patients started in his first role as a Navy Corpsman attached to a Marine Corps infantry unit responsible for supporting the U.S. humanitarian aid to Rwanda and Somalia. After completing his military service he transitioned to the private sector in medical sales promoting women’s health products for a large U.S. pharmaceutical company. Feeling the void of not being directly involved in the care of patients Dave returned to school, and became a Registered Nurse.
As a nurse, he has worked with patients and families in challenging situations in the Emergency Department, Critical Care, and Hospice. While in these roles his mentors noticed the qualities of a compassionate leader who desired to serve and lead others. For the past 7 years Dave has led clinicians at both a nationally recognized health system’s Hospice and a Medicaid Managed Care Organization. He holds degrees in nursing and health care administration, and is a certified health coach.
