Marie

Marie Tortora- owner and operator of METFitness, Marie has been in the Fitness and Recreation industry for the past 10 years. With 10 years of experience in teaching and creating client programs, Marie is a Certified ACE Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Wellness from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.

Marie is licensed and experienced in teaching all of the formats METFitness currently offers, including a variety of specialty programs.

 



Savannah

Having grown to love Yoga since 2006, Savannah received her Yoga Alliance 200-HR teaching certificate at Asheville Yoga Center in 2014. Specializing in Vinyasa Flow, she also enjoys teaching Hatha and Power Yoga. Her classes are form and breath based, in the Iyengar style.

Savannah has also discovered a love for Barre, having been a dancer and performer for Disney. She uses Barre as a stand alone method to lengthen and tone, or as a beautiful compliment to Yoga to strengthen certain areas before moving into more advanced asanas. Other exercise formats in her repertoire include: Drum Fitness, Bootcamp, and Strength Training classes.

Cory

As a former dancer and a dance teacher, Cory has always been passionate about the body and its movement. After going into “semi-retirement” from the dance world, he spent three years as a Cruise Director with Holland America Cruise Lines and four years as Entertainment Director for a large resort in Branson, MO. Wanting to get out of the snow, he recently moved back to Orlando. Since his return, he has enjoyed sharing his love of dance and fitness and the combination of the two. 

Cory focuses on making his classes result-oriented and they are always fun, energetic, safety conscious, and appropriate for everyone-no matter their level of fitness or dance ability. In addition to his group exercise certification from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, Cory is also certified to teach ZUMBA, Barre, Pilates Reformer, and Les Mills BODYPUMP.

Malushua

A certified instructor in Zumba, Aqua Zumba and Zumba Step.  Her lifelong dance training has made Zumba the perfect outlet for Malushua giving her the chance to share her love of dance with others while assisting them on the road to being in great health both mentally and physically. 

You do not have to be a dancer or even consider yourself coordinated in order to enjoy Zumba, you just need to come ready to cut loose and have a great time!

Danielle

First began practicing yoga about 10 years ago as a complement to extensive dance training. About five years ago, Danielle began focusing solely on yoga and created a steady practice ago before getting her 200 hour Yoga Alliance certification in 2012, after which she began to teach yoga full time. Danielle enjoys all styles from yin to power and loves having the opportunity to share her love of yoga with as many people as possible. 

In my classes Danielle encourages students to use movement and breath to explore their mind-body connection resulting in more balance, focus, and confidence both on and off the mat.

Evelyn

Has been teaching health and fitness over 15 years including swimming, many styles of water aerobics, as well as arthritis and fibromyalgia classes on land and in water. NASM Personal Trainer and Senior Fitness Specialist; Healthways Silver Sneakers Cardio Fit, Yoga, and Classic; Y USA Lifestyle Coach for the Diabetes Prevention Program; Chen and Yang styles Tai Chi. Namaste.

Honey

​ZUMBA Fitness® has provided the perfect opportunity for Honey to fuse her passion for dance with her devotion to fitness and health. Honey is certified by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and is licensed to teach Zumba, Aqua Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning, and Zumba Sentao.

Elsie

Is a certified yoga therapist and herbalist who specializes in working with families, particularly women and children. Her passion for healing has moved her to travel to places like India and Costa Rica in pursuit of knowledge of yoga and the holistic healing arts. On her spare time, she can be found reading books or creating herbal tinctures.

Mariya

Is originally from Northampton, Massachusetts. Mariya has been a part of the fitness community since she was able to walk and jump. As a dance major in College, Mariya really found her calling as a fitness instructor. Mariya was able to teach her peers, athletes and dancers. She watched as her peers grew stronger at their craft, and healthier in their physical condition of the body, with the help of the Pilates method. Mariya's passion for fitness has traveled with her all over the country. Mariya currently teaches Pilates Mat, Cardio Pump, Zumba, Yoga, Aqua and Barre.

Lily

Is originally from Chile and passionate about her dance and fitness background. She was part of a folklore group at Brigham Young University, presenting dances from different countries of South America. Lily has been a Zumba instructor since 2009 and is licensed to teach Zumba, Zumba Toning, Zumba Kids and Aqua Zumba. 

Nadezda (Nadya)

Originally from Russia, began her dance journey when she was 6 years old. Moving into the fitness industry, Nadya teaches fitness and dance classes for all ages. Nadya is certified AFAA group exercise instructor with Bachelor's Degree in Sport and Exercise Science from University of Central Florida as well as certified in BOSU, Turbo Kick, Zumba (Aqua, Toning, Gold, Kids and Juniors). Let your soul dance and your body will love it!

Martin

Is a certified Group Fitness instructor through AFAA since 2013 and teaches a variety of classes to get you moving! Martin himself competes in Iron Man and coaches others looking for the challenge. Martin is certified in a variety of specialties and teaches Insanity, Boot Camp, HIIT, Aqua Fitness, Senior Fitness, Group Strength and Cycle. Martin’s energy and passion for fitness are present in all his classes.

Jocelyn

Jocelyn’s passion for fitness came to life when she decided to take her long time love for Zumba to a whole new level and become an instructor. As an instructor, Jocelyn teaches to motivate her students to see fitness in a new way, while physically meeting goals to living a long and healthy life. Jocelyn currently teaches Zumba and Low Impact Aerobics.

Fabiola

Has been involved in the wellness industry for most of her life. Fabiola is certified Qigong level 2 instructor, and Reiki  Master and practitioner, and has helped many clients reduce their stress though incorporating all of her trainings. Fabiola teaches Pranayama and various forms of Yoga. Fabiola is bilingual and speaks both English and Spanish fluently.

Colleen

She has always been active from her youth, with various forms of exercise, beginning with dance and cheerleading and progressing to TRX, kickboxing, Pilates, aerobics and yoga. Always an active soul, she immediately connected to the power of yoga. After years of trying different yoga modalities, she focused her energy on Vinyasa yoga.

She became a certified yoga instructor in 2012 and Pure Barre instructor in 2013. Her enthusiasm for fitness and wellness is demonstrated by teaching a motivating, alignment-based, a mind-body connection to achieve a sense of joy in exercise.

Tiffany

Earned her 200 hour Yoga certification through the Amazing Yoga Teacher Training nationally recognized and registered with Yoga Alliance. Her training includes asana practice, meditation, teaching methodology, philosophy and ethics. Tiffany’s classes cater to a variety of levels offering classes to accommodate the beginner to the more advanced student. Tiffany teaches Vinyasa as well as Power Flow classes.

Quetcy

Has been teaching Zumba since 2013, when she decided to be a licensed Zumba Instructor. Quetcy’s love for exercise and dance on a regular basis helped her decide to go after her license as a zumba instructor. “ I realized that this is my passion, teaching Zumba and bringing fun to a workout routine. When I teach I bring enthusiasm and lots of energy to my students. I always use cues and guide them because I want my students to feel the energy and excitement that I feel when I use zumba to workout. ” Quetcy is licensed to teach Zumba, Zumba Toning and Zumba Gold classes.

Quetcy uses a variety of music but she finds it is most important to accommodate all her students with her music choices and routines.

Laura

Is a certified Group Fitness Instructor through AFAA with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Florida. Laura has been teaching a variety of group fitness classes for the past ten years including: Aqua Fitness, Group Strength, Cardio Kickboxing, Boot Camp, Circuit and Nordic Walking. Laura is passionate about teaching safe and effective exercise classes that are also filled with lots of energy and fun!

Raquel

Has been a Zumba instructor since 2009 and has recently finished her training as a Rockstar Drum Fitness Instructor with METFitness. Sharing her love for dance and fitness, Raquel’s classes are fun and will get you moving! Raquel is also licensed to teach Zumba Step for students who are ready to take their fitness up to the next level!

Kelcey

Started getting into fitness when she was just in high school, competing in power lifting competitions along with playing competitive sports. In college, Kelcey taught small Boot Camp and Circuit style classes. 


I held women empowerment boot camps and workouts in the park as well. Kelcey decided to become certified through NASM and start one on one training in 2015. She was very successful in doing so, but still loved to teach energetic, strength training circuit classes.

Tyrrell

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, played college, and Professional football for 7 years. Through his college and pro years he found exercise and training to be the most enjoyable aspect. After my football career ended I dedicated my time and life to exercise and healthy living. Tyrrell has his Master’s in Exercise Physiology and is also a Certified Personal Trainer. Tyrrell is also a certified Cancer Exercise Specialist with experience in rehabilitation and training with special populations. 

Maria

Has been teaching fitness and dance for over 10 years. Maria teaches a variety of different formats to include: Zumba, Aqua, Strength Training, Step Aerobics, Kickboxing, Pilates and more in addition to many different styles of dance. Maria loves to share her passion for fitness and dance with all of her students.

Tina

is originally from a small town in Pennsylvania, relocating to the Florida area 5 years ago. Tina has been practicing yoga for 14 years and currently holds two 200 hour certifications in two different styles of yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa and The Amrit Method of Yoga.

Erika

was born in Lima, Peru. Yoga has personally helped her overcome many difficult situations in her life. Yoga helps teach patience and perseverance, which everyone can use to improve their life. Patience can be applied to any aspect of life and is one of the most versatile of all the benefits yoga offers. It takes patience and a lot of practice every day to master yoga and to control your body. Mediation is an important part of practicing yoga and has been shown to be helpful in bringing the body back in line and to help regulate bodily functions.

Erika is a certified 200-hour Yoga instructor and is trained in teaching Kids Yoga, Aqua Fitness, Silver Sneakers, and Pilates. Yoga has changed my life in many different ways. I truly love and enjoy teaching, because I bring peace and happiness to others. Life is all about choices and mental stability and well-being.

Katherine

​Started as a Zumba instructor because of her love for dance. In addition to Zumba, Katherine now teaches Aqua Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Kids, Aqua Kickbox and Hula Fitness.

Kelly

​Went to FSU and received her certification as a Special Educator, teaching for ten years.  Kelly has competed in triathlons since 1996 and during this time she was certified as a spin instructor.  After training to teach Cycle classes, Kelly went on to receive her Yoga teacher certification and Personal Fitness Training certification from AFAA.  Kelly has experience teaching Water Aerobics, Boot Camp, Silver Sneakers, Strength Training, and Mat Pilates.  "I am passionate about fitness, helping others succeed in their personal goals, and I love teaching all together.  I also have 3 beautiful children.  I look forward to helping all my clients."

Karen

is a certified fitness instructor who teaches aerobics, Zumba and Zumba Kids classes. Karen’s classes are fun and energetic and she will help you get those hips moving! Karen’s love for Latin Dance and teaching truly shines in her classes as she makes all students feel welcome, big or small. Try a class with Karen and have a blast!

Jessica

​Originally from Maine was involved in ballet and jazz at a young age.  It wasn't until Jessica relocated to Central Florida that she discovered a passion for Latin inspired dance.  Jessica became a licensed Zumba Instructor in 2011.  "I love to motivate and push students to their full potential.  My speci alty licenses include Zumba Toning, Zumba Kids, Zumba Sentao and Zumba Step."

Nadia

a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher, with over ten years of personal practice. She has led 5k race warm ups and cool downs, held a weekly community class outdoors, led classes in churches and office buildings, taught at Athleta, and performed at Lululemon. Nadia's private practice was developed during seven years performing around the world with Disney Live! Yoga became a cross training tool to keep her body strong and limber for dance and her mind focused on the show.

Her backstage yoga practice turned into so much more when she began studying yoga philosophy and spirituality. She loves to practice flow and adores welcoming beginners to their mats. Having suffered a handful of injuries herself, Nadia practices and teaches yoga with a strong focus on honoring one's body by asking it to take only postures serving the present moment. She teaches alignment focused, relaxing classes leaving you feeling refreshed and energized. Nadia also teaches Aqua Fitness classes incorporating knowledge from her Yoga practice into her routines and cool downs.

Sarah

A NASM Certified Personal Trainer and a licensed Zumba and Aqua Zumba instructor.  Sarah has been instructing and training in the Fitness Industry for the past 10 years. Sarah’s passion for fitness and working with clients shines in her teaching as she works with groups of all levels to help them achieve their fitness goals.

Brenda

Has been a cheerleading coach for over 15 years before joining the METFitness Team. Brenda has instructed members of the "Good Morning America" staff for their Fit Club Challenge and has taught in all areas of dance and routine choreography.  

Brenda is a certified Group Fitness Instructor and Aqua Instructor with specialty certifications in Boot Camp, Silver Sneakers, Rock Star Fitness, and is licensed in all Zumba® Fitness Specialty Classes.

Lawrence

is a certified Personal Trainer who enjoys training and helping clients change their lives through fitness. Lawrence helps his clients achieve the results they are looking for through with high intensity training sessions. Lawrence also enjoys a variety of sports to include: basketball, football, track and field. Lawrence specializes in helping his clients with athletic performance, strength and sport specific activities. 

Neysha

A group exercise instructor certified by AFAA, Zumba ZIN and Turbo Kick.  Neysha has over 15 years experience in teaching group exercise classes, which is her passion.  Neysha originally from Puerto Rico is fluent in both Spanish and English.​

Faby

is a licensed Zumba instructor with a passion for fitness! Fabiola was born in Venezuela and moved to the USA in 2001. She is a Registered Nurse but decided to be a stay at home mom with her 3 children until they were a little older.

Faby fell in love with Zumba in 2013, when she took a Zumba class at her local gym. “Zumba has changed my life. I lost 120 lbs with the help of Zumba, a balanced diet, and weight training. I decided to become a Zumba instructor because I wanted to share my story with the world and encourage others to work hard for their goals. I am proof that with dedication you can achieve anything you want.”
 

Alicia

has been teaching Zumba for 6 years now. Originally from a small town in New York, Alicia recently relocated to the Orlando area from Lincoln, NE.

Alicia has 2 years experience in tap and jazz for 2 years and has been very active in musical theatre and show choir. I love singing, acting, and (you guessed it) dancing! Music and performing has always been a huge part of my life. It's my little escape from reality. I love it.

Alicia is a Personal Trainer and holds specialty licenses in Zumba, Aqua Zumba, and Strong.
 

Erick

is a certified Personal Trainer working towards becoming a Specialized Personal Trainer through the International Sport Science Association. Before relocating to Central Florida, Erick has previous experience as a swimming instructor for children, adults and the Master Team in Venezuela. Erick is an experienced instructor that teaches BootCamp, Cycle and Circuit style fitness classes. Erick's passion for fitness is contagious!
 

Bonnie

From beginners to advanced Bonnie offers various styles of yoga which include Laughter Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Aromatherapy yoga, Vinyasa/Power Flo Yoga, Acro-Yoga, Chakra Yoga, Partner Yoga, Yin Yoga, Shakti Flow® and even a bit of Slack line Yoga.

Bonnie stayed on the path of Yoga and have been practicing Yogi over 20 years. In addition to her 200 E-RYT, YACEP, I have over 1500 teaching hours, I am Reiki I, a certified Laughter Yoga Leader Coach, Shakti Flow® Certified, ACE Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga Instructor, fully insured and certified in advanced CPR training/AED, child and adult.

Wyntessica

who also goes by Wendy for short, is a certified ACE Fitness Instructor who is unconventional when it comes to traditional fitness formats. All of Wendy's fitness classes are high energy with a party-like atmosphere that is dedicated to everyone of all ages. Wendy teaches: Aqua Fitness, Zumba, Boot Camp, Cycle, Circuit, Belly Dance, Balance and Strength Training. All of her eccentric classes guarantee results both mentally and physically! Her teaching and style can only be found in METFitness!
