All of us know that we need sleep; and we feel lousy without enough sleep. When we get a good night sleep, we feel great, and we are ready to meet the challenges of the day. I always wondered how lack of sleep makes feel the way I feel, lousy. Scientists Lulu Xie and other researchers (2013) found explained that sleep natural sleep facilitates the elimination of chemicals that accumulate in the brain during the wakeful hours of the day and clear the brain of the toxins through exchange with the cerebrospinal fluid of the brain. This could be thought of a mechanism similar to our kidneys removing the chemicals from our body to keep us healthy.
