Many times patients experience skin itching, often intense with no skin rash. When patients experience itchy feeling and no rash, it is unlikely that it is due to allergic reaction. Most allergic reactions on skin are accompanied by some type of rash. What causes itchy feeling? Occassionally, the most likely cause is the change in temperature, more likely the change in humidity (which usually drops with a drop in temperature). Hydrating the whole body with creams such as CeraVe usually gives good relief. Even using a humidifier in room could be of help.
