Many of my patients suffer from shell fish allergy. Often they are perplexed because they never had a reaction before. Red splotches all over the body after eating shell fish could be related to an allergic reaction to shell fish. It could be a late reaction. Even if you did not have a reaction in the past, you could have developed an antibody to shell-fish recently, thus reacting now. Avoid shell fish in the future. If you want to confirm the diagnosis, you could make an appointment with an allergist.
