Babies refusing to continue with breast feeding when bottle feeding is also offered a very common problem many young mothers face. Many infants doprefer a bottle to breast. It is much easier to get milk from a bottle than having to work (suck) to get milk. Many mothers have asked this questionabout what to do. We recommend feeding from breast first for about 15minutes from each side, and then offer a bottle. If the baby is still hungry, heor she will take more milk from the bottle. If infants show a preference tobottle feeding, it is a good idea to feed from breast only for a few days andthen introduce a bottle if needed.
