Omega- fatty acids, prostate cancer, and heart disease

Think twice before spending our hard-earned money on omega-3 fatty acids!

We spend our money eagerly on buying omega-3 fatty acids with the hope that these will help to protect our heart and other reported health-benefits. There was a recent report from research studies that additional consumption of omega-3 fatty acids did not prevent heart disease. A new report by Brasky, T.M. et al (2012) casts additional doubt on the wisdom of consuming omega-3 fatty acids – the researchers found that higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids are associated with prostate cancer.
