At Manuel Medical Clinic and Allergy Center, achieving maximum ideal immunization has been a goal for a long time. However, we have not been able to achieve our goals at full immunization of our patients. Parent’s reluctance has been the main factor. For example, measles is almost completely preventable by immunizing our children by giving MMR shot. Eighty-seven percent of incidence of measles has been on children who were not vaccinated (Temte, J.L., 2012). We advise parents to make sure that your children are vaccinated before they visit a foreign country where measles is prevalent.
