Team Kaylen's has select spots available for all breeds in 2017!
Time has gone by so fast this past year... Kahlua has remained the #1 Chinese Crested in All Breed Points and we are fortunate to have Truman (GCH Sunlit Kaylen's Hairy Truman) and Kai (GCH Kaylen's General Kai Panda) in the Top 20. Kennel and show duties have kept us pretty busy all year. This is not always an easy business to be in, but we at Kaylen's Show Kennel have had some people stick with us through tough times and make the task as hand a bit easier. It is because of my assistants and friends that I was able to enjoy a Hawaiian vacation with family and enjoy some much needed time off to relax. I thank all who have helped along the way as I could not step away to enjoy this time without you.We have had litters of standard poodles and Chinese crested that have kept us not only busy, but entertained as well. We sent our beautiful Striker to China and soon our Brandon will join his new handler to go on to new adventures overseas as well. As we prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends, we would like to wish everyone a wonderful time spent with loved ones. We will have a little time off to enjoy life at home before we gear up for the 2017 show year, and we have some exciting youngsters coming up, plus a very special homecoming. We will do a couple more updates before the year ends, but for now, we at Kaylen's Show Kennel wish each of you a wonderful holiday season, safe travels and the joy and happiness of friends and family.
It seems this year has gone by so fast. My knee is finally doing much better and I have been able to get back to showing dogs at my full potential.Perhaps the biggest news of the year was the decision made by Ginny & myself to send Kahlua (Multiple BIS/BISS ENG/AM GCH Kaylen's Kahlua) to the West Coast. We are thankful to Shirley & Michael Frumkin for taking on our superstar for 2016! Kahlua is now owned by the Frumkin's, myself & Ginny, and he will be shown to perfection by Tammy Seidlitz! We look forward to 2016 for Kahlua and his West Coast family!Looking back, Team Kaylen's has been rewarded with so much over the year. Not only did I have great help both at the kennel and on the road, but I was also fortunate to have friends and clients who helped out when necessary, and a longtime assistant who has helped with tedious paperwork. It is because of my team that I can also take time to enjoy some time away from dog shows once in a while, so to ALL of you who are a part of Team Kaylen's, my sincerest thanks to each of you.To the clients who have sent their wonderful dogs to me, many thanks for your trust in my and my team. I know that to most of you, these are your "babies, "family members" & "children". I have tried to do my best in getting championships as quickly as possible so they can return to you. The girls and I have enjoyed all of them while they have been in our care.As we prepare to enter 2016, I have made a few changes to the way I will do things, but the dogs in my care, as in previous years, will ALWAYS be my first priority. I look forward to seeing all of you and your beautiful dogs and continuing the Kaylen's tradition of bringing you the best service I can when it comes to your dogs. Our best wishes to you for the coming year!Kay & "Team Kaylen's"
So far this year has started well. Lots of wonderful dogs to show and owners who have been very helpful. While Kay has experienced some setbacks with her knee, she is still actively showing and getting the job done. It is because of quality dogs to show, owners who put their faith in Kay, and assistants who work endlessly that Team Kaylen's remains successful. One must also note that the support received from fellow handlers, breeders and friends has also been a large part of the team's success. After a beautiful showing at the Poodle Club of America National Specialty, we said goodbye to Louie- AM GCH Serekunda Only On Sunday, as he traveled back to his home in England. We are thankful to the Austin's for allowing Louie to stay with us while completing his championship and grand championship. We also welcomed back Teeter, GCH Targa Talk About Kaylen's, who ended his show career at PCA. He will reside at Kaylen's until he travels to his new home where he is sure to be more loved and spoiled than ever! Our youngest rising star, Solo, CH Kaylen's Once Upon A Time, made an impressive showing at the national considering he had not been out in the ring for a while. We look forward to what the future holds for this young dog.Special thanks to Philip Langdon for handling Louie, Jason Lynn for handling Teeter, and Allie Cowie for handling Solo in the BIG specials ring at the national when Kay was unable to. We are extremely grateful and the dogs looked fabulous! Not to be outdone for 2015 is our homebred champion Kahlua. The little hairless crested who is doing great big things. Kahlua took 2015 by storm and has remained in the top rankings since he hit the specials ring! His list of accomplishments speaks for itself and we are pleased to add two All Breed Best In Shows to that illustrious list. Kahlua turned 2 this past April and we are looking forward to what the remainder of 2015 has in store for this beautiful young dog. Simply put, we feel he is a breeders dream. Here is looking forward to the rest of the year with great dogs, great friends, and great times. Wishing you all the BEST!Team Kaylens
