The Haunted Sweet Dreams Inn Victorian Bed & Breakfast
Located in one of the oldest settlements in the state, Bay Port, sits the historic 1890 Victorian mansion overlooking Lake Huron in Michigan's Thumb Area. Former home of William H. Wallace, a prominent man in Huron County's history, owning most of Bay Port in the late 1800s.
Sweet Dreams Inn is known to be haunted (by five haunted travel books) and is very active. The owners claim you may or may not have a personal paranormal experience during your stay, but many have not been able to sleep through the night. (There are no refunds, no exceptions, per their policy).
Many guests report the inn to have many ghosts roaming the halls, opening & closing doors, walking up & down the stairs, moving furniture, throwing objects down, etc. They are good spirits, but very active. The first owner of the Sweet Dreams Victorian Inn, William H. Wallace, wanders the building urging folks to leave. People report hearing the sound of someone whispering in their ear when no one is there. On the second floor of Sweet Dreams Victorian Inn, the ghost of Mrs. Wallace goes in and out of the rooms, trying to check on their five children. The ghost of young Ora haunts the third floor of the inn. She has been spied by a number of Bay Port residents looking out of the third floor window. The owners of the Sweet Dreams Victorian Inn report that the ghosts haunting their building are very active and willing to communicate with guests under the right circumstances. This is one of the most famous haunts in the state of Michigan.
They also offer guest group ghost hunts with a paranormal group & 10-12 guests at an extra costs.
