The iconic Leesburg Bikefest is held annually on the 4th weekend of April. In 2013 it entered its 17th year and drew over 300,000 bikers from across the country. It is currently the second largest biker rally in the nation following the Sturgis Rally in South Dakota in August and now surpassing the Daytona Bike Week Rally.
Starting on Thursday night and running through the weekend the rally provides bikers access to free entertainment, other bikers and lost of scenic roads and trails. The majority of the rally is held in historic downtown Leesburg where local businesses and non-profits serve beer and other refreshments and numerous stages are constantly playing classic rock such as the Outlaws.
In 2013 there were 8 stages with 40 bands performing over the series of four days. Over 250 vendors come to Leesburg to show off their motorcycle-related wares. Many of these shoppes and kiosks are located in the large Gator Harley complex located on highway 441 in Leesburg.
Other entertainment at the Bikefest includes trick riding, local rides through the Ocala National Forest and other state parks, and the many restaurants and attractions in the greater Orlando area.
