Comfort Keepers provides in-home care which makes a difference in the lives of seniors and other adults. Through our unique system of in-home care we call Interactive Caregiving, our Comfort Keepers" engage clients in their care to enhance their independence and well-being. Interactive Caregiving includes four interrelated aspects: engagement of the mind, an active body, proper nutrition and safety. For over a decade, clients and their families/guardians have entrusted their care to us throughout the Heart of Florida. The home care services provided by Comfort Keepers (HHA: 299992787) are designed to help seniors and others maintain optimal levels of independence in the comfort of their own homes, wherever home may be. In addition to providing assistance with household tasks, such as light housekeeping and meal preparation, and personal care tasks, such as bathing and grooming, Comfort Keepers offer our clients a wide range of companionship services, including conversation walks, errands (including transportation), as well as assistance with hobbies and other interests. Listed below are just some of the reasons to make Comfort Keepers your in-home provider.

When you select Comfort Keepers to provide your in-home care you never have to worry about employment taxes and deductions, Workers' Compensation, general liability insurance, background checks, drug screening, proper training, caregiver scheduling, or caregiver replacement in the event of an absence. When you hire an independent caregiver, these issues are your issues. When you hire Comfort Keepers, they are our issues. Our agency is CHAP Certified. Comfort Keepers are bonded for up to $25,000 and insured for up to $1,000,000 for both general and personal liability. Comfort Keepers' highly skilled and trained staff is comprised of licensed RN's, Geriatric Care Managers, Field Care Coordinators, Certified Nursing Assistants, Home Health Aides and homemaker/companions. Comfort Keepers' caregivers receive ongoing training which includes a full two-day orientation, mandatory courses offered at 30, 60, and 90 days of employment, quarterly in-house training, continual on-line training, and more. We offer our Comfort Keepers extensive dementia training (over 20 hours of live training) and staff caregivers who are nationally certified in dementia care. When you select Comfort Keepers as your care provider, you have 24/7 access to a live person who can immediately assist you in the event of an emergency. Our Interactive Caregiving philosophy focuses on providing meaningful conversation and activities that engage and enrich the lives of seniors physically, mentally, socially and emotionally. Mother-daughter owners, Lynn Domenech and Jocelyn Holt, share over 50 years experience in business, caregiving, occupational therapy, teaching and human resources. Comfort Keepers has also been five times awarded the "Quest for Excellence" award by Comfort Keepers Franchising, Inc., the franchisor of Comfort Keepers. And in 2010, Mrs. Domenech was awarded the Dr. William C. Thomas, Jr. Professional Caregiver Award, a distinction typically presented to a physician.
